Internship

At Three Brothers Stable, students enrolled in the internship program combine their knowledge of the equine industry with practical experience, leadership, and responsibility while building personal and professional relationships through networking. As a riding school, I am genuinely interested in you learning how the barn/school is run and proper horse care and veterinary knowledge. I want to help you with your future goals. It is important to me that you do more than do chores.

Summer Internship Overview:

As an Intern, you will have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the horse care world and contribute to our riders’ growth and development, particularly during our exciting Summer Camps. This internship offers a perfect blend of hands-on horse care experience and teaching opportunities, allowing you to share your knowledge with aspiring equestrians.

Responsibilities:

Horse Care:

  • Daily feeding and overall care of horses.
  • Assisting with veterinary and farrier appointments.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the health and well-being of our equine residents.

Teaching:

  • Conducting basic horse knowledge lessons for Summer Camp participants.
  • Assisting with riding lessons under the guidance of our experienced instructors.
  • Providing support during horse-related activities and events.

Camp Coordination:

  • Collaborating with the camp organizers to ensure a smooth and enriching experience for participants.
  • Supervising campers during activities and ensuring their safety.

Qualifications:

  • Enthusiasm for horses and a genuine interest in equine care and education.
  • Previous experience working with horses is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and take initiative.
  • Availability during the Summer Camp period June through August. Monday – Friday, 8 Am to Noon
