We’re putting together something new in the Brazos Valley — a Roping Co-op at Fiddler’s Green!

Instead of paying high cattle prices or fighting for arena time, our members share the cost of cattle, equipment, and upkeep. You get guaranteed nights to rope, a say in how it runs, and a great community of ropers to work with.

  •  20 permanent spots available
  •  10 temporary/semester memberships
  •  $175/month (no cattle hassle — we handle the rotation)
  •  Located in Bryan, TX

We’re excited to finally build something that keeps good cattle, good people, and good runs right here in Bryan, TX.

What the Co-op Is

The Fiddler’s Green Roping Co-op is a member-run program where we share the cost, care, and access to quality roping cattle, steers, and arena time. Every member helps shape the schedule, share in the work, and contribute to keeping the program sustainable.

Membership Options

Permanent Members (20 total):
- One-time buy-in: $1,100 per share
- Monthly fee: $175 per month
- Guaranteed two roping nights per week (limited to 10 ropers per night)
- Full voting rights and participation in co-op decisions

Student Members (10 total):
- $500 refundable semester deposit
- Monthly fee: $175 per month
- Great for A&M and Blinn riders who want steady practice time

What the Buy-In Covers

Your one-time $1,100 share goes directly into the co-op’s start-up fund for:
- Initial purchase of 12–16 roping calves and 8–10 steers
- New roping dummy and equipment upgrades
- Arena footing improvements and repairs
- A reserve fund for vet care, feed, and maintenance

No money is collected until all 20 founding members have signed Letters of Intent.

How Profits Work

Because the co-op operates under Fiddler’s Green LLC, any surplus from:
- Cattle resale or rotation
- Arena rentals or jackpot events
- Non-member practice fees

The priority will be to improve the facility and herd. At year’s end, remaining profits may be distributed back to permanent members based on shares held, or rolled forward into future upgrades (voted on by members).

Member Responsibilities

- Each permanent member helps with quarterly workdays for maintenance.
- Missed workdays may result in a $25–$50 fine.
- Members rotate arena duties to help run roping nights.
