Lesson Program
Fiddler’s Green
We take riders from zero experience to confidently roping on horseback.
This program is built for both kids and adults who want to learn real
roping. Not just swinging a rope, but handling a horse, tracking
cattle, and building the skills to compete or ride with purpose.
Private Lessons
$125 per lesson
Length: ~1.5 hours
Each lesson includes:
- Ground horsemanship
- Riding instruction
- Roping instruction
Lessons are structured to build skill week to week. For steady
progress, plan on riding at least once per week.
We provide lesson horses to start. When you reach the stage of roping
live cattle, you will need your own horse. We will help you find the
right horse and continue your training here.
Boarding is available on-site
Lesson Progression
We follow a clear progression so riders build confidence before moving forward.
Phase 1
1 hour riding lesson
30 minutes ground roping
Phase 2
1 hour riding lesson
30 minutes roping using a barrel
Phase 3
30 minutes riding
1 hour roping on horseback
Includes sled work, tracking, and tying on live calves or steers
Once you complete this progression, you are ready to move into owning
your own horse and roping live cattle consistently.
Timeline
If starting from zero and riding once per week, expect about one year
to reach this level. Ride more often and progress faster.
Lease Horses
We offer lease horses for riders who want more saddle time without
full ownership.
More rides each week = faster progress.
Group ground Roping Lessons
Every Tuesday Night
6:00 PM

Barrel and Pole Bending Lessons
1-hour lessons
$75
These lessons focus on speed events, control, and pattern work. Riders
will develop balance, timing, and horse control through barrel and
pole bending patterns.
Open to all levels. Great for riders who want to build fundamentals or
add variety alongside roping.
Horse Options
